New Delhi – Due to concerns regarding the exam’s integrity, the National Testing Agency’s UGC-NET June 2024 exam, which was scheduled for Tuesday, has been canceled. The exam was administered in two shifts across multiple cities using the OMR (pen and paper) method.
The Ministry of Education acted after receiving suggestions about potential compromises from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center. The matter has been referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a comprehensive investigation, and a new examination has been arranged.
Cybersecurity authorities notified the University Grants Commission on Wednesday that there may have been compromises to the exam’s integrity.
The Ministry of Education has decided to postpone the UGC-NET June 2024 Examination in order to uphold openness and integrity. There will be a new exam, and information about it will be sent out separately.
“Any individual/organisation found to be involved in this matter will face strictest action,” stated the ministry.
